SHSG April 2020: Allies for Mental Wellness
Time & Location
About the Event
Hi everyone! I am so excited that this month we will have Lily Baum from the Onondaga chapter of Herbalists Without Borders coming to guest teach! She will be presenting on herbal support for the nervous system and mental health, a topic so important right now amidst the uncertainty of current daily life.
Lily is budding herbalist in Onondaga County, NY. She has been working with the plants for the past four years, during which time she founded the Herbalists Without Borders Onondaga County chapter and serves as a teacher for her apprentices. She apprenticed herself with the Heartstone Center for Earth Essentials near Ithaca with Tammi Sweet and Kris Miller and had the opportunity to study under Amanda David with Rootwork Herbals briefly who is from Ithaca herself. The remainder of her herbal learning has been with online classes and self study, and from the plants themselves.
Unlike class in March, we will be using the Zoom app this month to hold a live class on an online platform. This will allow us all to see each other, interact and do Q&A. If you cannot make class, don’t worry, there will be an audio recording available that can still be sent out through email for those that want to buy tickets but can’t make the live event.
Tickets will be sold up until the start time of class, and participants will receive an email with any handouts Lily might have as well as the information needed to join the class through Zoom. Please be sure to download the app beforehand! If you are planning on ordering a recording, please email me at syracuseHSG@gmail.com so I know to send you one :)
Hope to see everyone there!
