sage has been a symbol of healing, protection and wisdom in communities and cultures around the world. we have chosen this plant as our symbol as well, since along with the unifying presence of circle, it represents the ideals of service we hope to embody for patients, clients and the community.

Can I use insurance?
yes. i am fully credentialed with medicare, medicaid, fidelis, excellus, BC/BS, aetna and most other major insurance companies. i am billed as a consult to internal medicine, similar to how your other specialists would bill. you will be asked for insurance information during the intake process.

what types of visits do you offer?
I offer two distinct categories of visits: medical, which means I can order tests, prescribe medications, diagnose and refer if needed. These are the visits for which you can use insurance. I also offer herbal medicine consults, which are private pay and appropriate for those just looking for herbal/nutritional protocols. Don't worry: medical visits include this service as well.

What about telemedicine?
yes, telemed options are available for some visits. sometimes, in-person visits are needed to assess you properly, but usually the majority of your visits can be telemed if needed.

Do you do primary care?
no. you will need to seek primary care services with a different provider, there are many options available locally and i am happy to make recommendations at our visit if needed. please note: i do not have an on-call at Circles of Sage. i encourage all of my patients to establish with a PCP in case of urgent needs.

are visits at Circles of Sage right for me?
there are some limitations when you see me at my home practice if you are used to the more comprehensive support of a larger medical practice. because its just me, if you know your medical needs are complex and require a large amount of comprehensive support, I suggest you book an appointment with me at my office at SUNY Upstate.

Do I need a referral?
no. unlike my SUNY Upstate visits which do require a referral, you are able to book directly with me through my website, once the online booking system opens. Until then, use the contact submission form below to join the wait list, and I will reach out when my schedule opens!
