frequently asked questions

1

Can I use insurance?

yes. for a complete list of accepted insurances and other billing options, please click on the billing & scheduling tab here.

4

Do you do primary care?

2

what types of visits do you offer?

I offer two distinct categories of visits: medical, which means I can order tests & medications, diagnose, and refer if needed, and prescriptive. Prescriptive patients receive a detailed report of my recommendations, and support in carrying them out. Out-of-state patients are able to access prescriptive visits through telemedicine.

3

What about telemedicine?

as of Nov 1 2025, insurance companies are no longer required to cover telemedicine visits. while this may change if/when the federal gov't shutdown ends, we cannot guarentee coverage for telemed visits at this time. if you are intending to use insurance and you would like to explore telemed options, please contact your insurance to see if they will cover your visit.

7

how long are your visits?

you will find we have a few different options available so that we can meet the financial and health needs of all our patients. For more detailed info on scheduling choices, click here.

6

Do I need a referral?

it depends. most insurance companies will not require a referral to a family medicine speciality, however, this may not be true across the board. it is the patient's responsibility to contact their insurance for specific guidance if they intend on having insurance pay for their visits.

are visits at Circles of Sage right for me?

no. you will need to seek primary care services with a different provider. please note: i do not have an on-call at Circles of Sage, and while most insurances do not require a referral to see me, I do not accept visit requests from patients without a PCP.

there are some limitations when you see me at my home practice if you are used to the more comprehensive support of a larger medical practice. we are a small team, and being a part of our group means you are family. but it also may mean things move a bit slower than you may be used to at bigger practices.
