About the Event
The Summer is speeding by and we are already looking towards our third plant walk of the season. This month, as promised, we will walk around our city and discover the plants that grow around us everyday. While many of us may think of herbal medicine as being something that happens "in the wild", this really couldn't be farther from the truth: in actuality, the herbs we rely on most as allies tend to grow closest to human activity, which most of don't believe is an accident. We are intertwined with the plants around us, and learning these "common" medicines is the key to understanding foundational herbcraft.
Join us as we discuss plant identification, medicinal uses and formulation of commonly seen herbs on our city blocks. We will be meeting in front of the MOST museum downtown at 11 - dress comfortably and bring notebooks, guidebooks and of course your experience!
As usual, plant walks are free and open to the public. No need to RSVP or register, and we look forward to seeing you there!
