SHSG September 2024: The City Walk

September takes us to the last plant walk of the 2024 season, and I am excited to welcome you to the City Walk, by far my favorite of our walking experiences. 

This month we will walk around the lower parts of the Westcott neighborhood and explore what we see right on the city blocks. The goal of this walk is two fold - first, and most importantly, to do a little "myth busting" and dispel the idea that you cant live in an urban environment and have access to the plant world, and second, to allow us to connect with and get to know our Syracuse neighborhoods. Our very first city walk was in Westcott and I'm excited to head back after years away!

We will meet at the playground at Barry Park for ease and walk up into the blocks from there. There is parking all around Barry Park and on the street as well. Feel free to stop into the Syracuse Real Food Co-Op before or after the walk for a snack, its just around the corner!
